Decomposing Bodies

Since fall 2016, I have worked as the Project Manager for Decomposing Bodies, an ongoing digital humanities project run out of the Visual Media Workshop at the University of Pittsburgh.

Decomposing Bodies examines the links between the physical body, classification structures, and individual identity through the lens of policing and penal reform at the turn of the 20th century.

You can read more about the image collection and related data that makes up Decomposing Bodies at the project site,
and more about my role in managing it on the Pitt HAA Constellations blog.
